After School Art Club
After School Art Club is a fun, relaxed session for unaccompanied children aged 8 and over. The sessions are tailored to the attendees, so the age limit is only a guide, and the activities are suitable for a range of abilities, from around age 8 right up to older teens.
The sessions run from 4 - 6pm, Monday to Wednesday, with a maximum of 8 attendees per session. Children will work both individually, and collaboratively on a wide variety of projects and activities, developing their creative skills across a range of media in both 2 and 3 dimensions.

Holiday Club — Creative Adventures at ART squared
Holiday Club is a perfect opportunity for unaccompanied children aged approximately 8 and over (please check individual workshop descriptions as some sessions may have specific considerations). In small group settings of 6–8 children, my bright, friendly, and well-stocked studio in Castletown provides a supportive, fun environment where creativity can really flourish! The club runs from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, and children should bring a packed lunch and drink for the midday break. Fresh fruit and squash are available in the studio throughout the day; you’re also welcome to bring additional snacks. Old clothes are essential — we’ll be diving deep into projects, and while aprons are provided, we will get messy!
Monday 27th October — Spooky Scenes: Vintage Pumpkin Tiles
We’ll use clay to sculpt a relief pumpkin or turnip design, then cast it in plaster before painting with vintage colours and styling. The result will be a Hop-tu-Naa keepsake plaster tile to display year after year.
Tuesday 28th October — Spooky Scenes: Haunted Housefront
Design and paint a spooky housefront wall-hanging, complete with eerie window silhouettes. This mixed-media project uses wood, card, acrylic paint, and LED lights to create a unique Halloween decoration for your home.
Wednesday 29th October — Layered Watercolour: Twilight Woods
Working on high-quality paper, we’ll build up layers of watercolour to capture the magic of a misty twilight forest. Expect bats, mushrooms, and an eerie, “thinning veil” atmosphere, perfect for spooky season!
Thursday 30th October — Jacob’s Ladders: Make Your Own Traditional Wooden Toy
Hammers and nails meet pencils and paint in this traditional toy-making workshop! Children will sand and decorate their wooden blocks, choose colourful ribbons, and assemble their very own Jacob’s Ladder — a fantastic keepsake or unique handmade Christmas gift.
Note: this workshop uses small hammers and nails. After instruction, children will work independently with supervision. Please only book if you’re confident your child can manage the risks (hit thumbs, sharp edges) with guidance.
Friday 31st October — Modroc Madness: Dragon & Dino Eggs
A studio favourite! We’ll use Modroc to sculpt giant eggs, then finish them with metallic paints, shimmering scales, gems, and glitter — whatever suits the story of your mysterious creature inside.
Term Time Sessions
Term-time school day sessions can be organised upon request for groups of children from local schools or home education groups. Activities can be tailored to suit various key stages or themes as required. Please contact me directly to arrange a session. There is currently a school-time session running for ages 5+ on Tuesdays from 10:30am, and one for ages 9+ oat 13:00, see booking page for details.
Birthday Parties & Celebrations
Children’s parties can be booked for up to 8 children, and you can choose from a selection of fun and engaging art & craft activities, that can be tailored to your child’s chosen theme.
